I appreciate the insight. I haven’t spent a great deal learning about the oura ring so this detailed experience really helps me understand that it may not be for me.

I’d love better sleeping data but not for the trade off of activities.

i totally get that, it’s a major downside - hoping they fix the fitness feature asap 🤞🏽

love this post! i’m an Oura Ring user too. i got mine last june, mainly for women’s health tracking while i was in my ttc journey, and it’s been so helpful for that. when i got pregnant, it switched over to the pregnancy insights, which i really appreciated for keeping track of everything.

also, their customer support has been great. i had an issue with charging where my ring wouldn’t hold a charge, and they sent me a replacement right away. i think it was a defect. it’s been perfect ever since.

i love the insights overall. the activity tracking could definitely improve, like you mentioned. mine will sometimes log pilates as “housework,” lol. i’m like… no, that was pilates. so i agree it’s not the best for performance tracking, but for sleep, symptom radar, and overall health, it’s been completely worth it for me. x

i love this perspective, especially hearing how helpful it was during your ttc and pregnancy journey, that’s such an important use case.

also the pilates as “housework” is making me laugh, like no… that was intentional movement lol

but i agree, for sleep and overall health insights it’s been so worth it.

thanks for sharing <3
