Hey ,
I wanted to officially invite you to the Wellness Club, our little corner of Weekend Report to talk exclusively about health and wellness. I’ll always sneak a couple healthy-ish game day snacks into our weekend reports, but I think wellness finally deserves its own little section too.
As much as we talk about game days, what happens on the field or the court is only half the story. The other half ties to recovery, sleep, nutrition, and a lot of the daily, “boring” foundational work. And I think that’s just as important to pay attention to.
I really hope this can be a small space for sharing more athlete recovery routines (and how you can apply that to your own life), healthy-ish snacks and the small insights that make overall wellness easier to approach.
I’m very passionate about wellness, but for most of my life, it wasn’t something that I had the resources to prioritize. Between dealing with eczema, weight issues and anxiety, it wasn’t until a couple of years ago that I really started figuring out how to support my health (with a lot of help from my close friend who is a holistic nutritionist <3).
Going through years of my own journey taught me that wellness isn’t one size fits all and it’s not just about looking good (even though that’s an added benefit). I’d like to believe It’s just about figuring out what your body actually needs and going from there.
It’s the same principle athletes live by, just on a completely different scale since their health is fully tied to their careers.
I’m really excited to see what we can build here, but if you’d rather stick to sports content, you can opt-out of notifications for this section and keep living sporty.
If you’re still here, sending you some interesting videos i found on how athletes balance wellness.
enjoy :)
the Rams vs. 49ers sleep experiment:
This was an interesting example of two teams using completely different sleep strategies before game day. I came across a great video that explores why one strategy worked over the other. Sometimes you really just can’t optimize your way out of biology.
LeBron James’ athletic longevity routine:
It’s hard to talk about athletic recovery without mentioning LeBron, who is able to keep playing at an elite level, well into his 40s because of wellness. It’s also proof that longevity in the game isn’t an accident, but an investment in your future.

Thanks 🙏 for the invite
